01  Santa Barbara Restaurant Week

at Santa Barbara

Take advantage on the offer of the participating restaurants! There will be a pre-fixed menu at a reduced price for dinner. Restaurants in Santa Barbara will offer a 3-course dinner menu that you will be able to enjoy for less than their usual price per plate. 

02 Distelleries and the Old West

1 PM at Santa Barbara

Experience a behind the scenes tour which will  allow you to discover their high-quality spirits that represent the agricultural roots of the area. Afterwards, you will head to Cold Spring Tavern, a Stagecoach stop from 1865 that now hosts a bar and restaurant.

03 Heartbeat

10 am at MOXI

Watch the dazzling display of lights that is uniquely you. Heartbeat by Geoffrey Hicks lets you think about your biological connection with technology. The technology used in the exhibit will amplify the electrical signals generated by cells in your heart that are conducted throughout your body. Awesome right?

04 Wine Down Series

5 PM at 32 E Haley St

Love biking? So do we. Join this bike ride that is great for all skill levels. Ride your way through some of the area’s most loved locations including the Santa Barbara Mission. Enjoy a guided biking tour.

05 World of Pinot Noir 

at Ritz Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara 

Join the celebration and gathering of the foremost Pinot Noir wineries and winemakers, renowned chefs, sommeliers and leading wine scholars in a weekend-long seaside celebration of this delicious and storied wine.

06 LA Philharmonic in Santa Barbara

7 PM at The Granada Theatre 

The acclaimed Los Angeles Philharmonic comes to Santa Barbara conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. 

07 Il Postino

7:30 PM at Opera Santa Barbara

Come and watch the outstanding performers of Opera Santa Barbara as they are featured in The Postman.  Set in the 1950s on a small island off the coast of Italy, Catán’s stunning score soars against a backdrop of political and spiritual conflict. 

08 Drag Brunch 

11 AM at SOHO Restaurant and Music Club

This event is hosted by Borgia Bloom, with beats by DJ Darla Bea! Come and have a sip of mimosas, bloodys, brunch, & a killer show from the hottest drag queens from LA & the Central Coast.

09 Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder

8 pm at Lobero Theatre

Considered as a “recognized master” of one of America’s most demanding art forms, his career took him in other directions, catapulting him to popularity and success in the mainstream of country music, get to know Ricky Skaggs.

10 YETI Film Tour

6:30 PM at Lobero Theatre

They will feature seven unreleased films, telling stories that capture the unbreakable human spirit from Alaska to St. John. Get a chance for some of the exclusive YETI gear, raffles, and ambassador visits across three countries. 

11 St. Patrick's Day In Ireland!

8 PM at Lobero Theatre

Spend a night watching Irish music and dance in the celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Listen through a wide selection of songs performed by great musicians in the house. 



12 Santa Barbara Jewish Film Festival

 at The New Vic Theatre

13 Santa Barbara International Orchid Show

14 Fairytale Weekend

10 AM at Santa Barbara Zoo 

Springtime is here! Let your kids join in honoring the world’s many and varied frogs and amphibians, and meet Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and other princesses in person, too!

15 Santa Barbara Culinary Experience 

at Santa Barbara

Enjoy a  3 day  celebration of Santa Barbara’s culinary scene involving chefs, mixologists, restaurateurs and the local community, with guest appearances from nationally renowned food and beverage talents.

16 Amazing Scavenger Hunt

at 1 Garden Street, Santa Barbara, United States

Turn Santa Barbara into a giant game board with this fun scavenger hunt adventure. Combine the excitement of the Amazing Race with a three-hour city tour. 

17 Farmers Market Foodie Stroll

 3 PM at Bouchon Santa Barbara 

Explore with Chef Greg Murphy of Bouchon Santa Barbara at the Tuesday afternoon Santa Barbara Certified Farmers Market for an informative “Foodie Stroll” followed by dinner at Bouchon.  

18 Britney Howard

8 PM at The Arlington Theatre

It's a performance that you should not miss. Howard has become one of music’s most celebrated figures—their band has won four Grammys (out of its nine nominations), and she has performed everywhere. She's done it from the Obama White House to the main stage at Lollapalooza, where she sang with Paul McCartney at his invitation. 

19 Sipping on The Sea

5:30 PM at Santa Barbara Sailing Center

Be one of the guests and have a sip of some local wine from Riverbench Winery while enjoying a Santa Barbara Sunset aboard the Double Dolphin. A representative from the winery will be on board to pour the tastings and provide education on their selection. 

20 Ventura Home & Garden Show

12 PM at Ventura County Fairgrounds

Ventura Home & Garden Show is a premier regional home show related to the home and garden industry. 

21 Santa Barbara Beer Garden

1 pm at Santa Barbara Botanic Garden

It's a full day of one-of-a-kind beers uniquely paired with finger foods from local restaurants. Tickets sell out fast, so mark your calendars and secure your spot at this special event!

22 Gem Fair

12 PM at Earl Warren Showgrounds 

The Gem Faire-Santa Barbara is an event featuring the gems and jewels industry and designers. The event aims at promoting high quality latest trendsetting accessories and features various designers labels and brands. This is a must attend for jewelry designers and lovers. 

23 Stand Up Paddleboard Lesson

10 am at  32 E Haley St   

Experience one of the fastest growing ocean sports! Stand up paddle boarding allows guests to experience incredible views of the city, mountains and ocean whilst enjoying a great total body workout. A guide will  be with you while you explore the local coastline and teach you about Santa Barbara’s rich marine environment. 

24 Cupcakes and Wine Tour

Indulge in some tasty treats and wine. Head on to the Santa Ynez tour, featuring delicious sampling of wine infused cupcakes from Enjoy Cupcakes in the heart of Santa Ynez wine country.


25 Indy Book Club Meet Up & Book Swap

6 PM at Municipal Winemakers 

 Join the Santa Barbara Independent and the Santa Barbara Public Library as we host our first Indy Book Club Meetup! We’ll chat about the featured books from January, February, and March, as well as the overall themes. We will end the meetup with a book swap (bring your favorites to pass along) and reveal the next Indy Book Club selection. All are welcome!

29 The Met: Wagner's "DER FLIEGENDE HOLLÄNDER"

2 PM at 1070 Fairway Rd. Santa Barbara

Evgeny Nikitin stars as the mysterious seafarer searching for salvation. Director François Girard, whose mesmerizing production of Parsifal recently wowed Met audiences, returns to stage Wagner’s eerie early masterwork. 

30 We the Voyagers: Our Moana

7 PM at Santa Barbara Maritime Museum

We are the living crew of Lata, the Polynesian culture-hero who built the first voyaging canoe and navigated across the Pacific. We are the only Polynesians left who still use only ancient designs, materials, and methods. In our films we share our history, motivations, and skills through story-telling, canoe building, and way finding, and we invite everyone to reconnect with ancestors and sustainable life ways.

31 Tatsuo Miyajima

11 AM at Santa Barbara Museum of Art

The first solo U.S. museum exhibition of Japanese artist Tatsuo Miyajima’s art in over two decades, this captivating immersive presentation of four light-based works embodies this internationally renowned artist’s career-long philosophy: Keep Changing, Connect with Everything, Continue Forever. Reflecting millennia-old precepts found in his Buddhist practice, Miyajima ingeniously creates silent, vividly glowing objects and installations from today’s industrially-produced LED numbers and computer technologies that evoke profound and infinite worlds of being, space, and time.
