01  A Retrospective – Virtual Viewing

at Wildling Museum of Art and Nature 

A Retrospective opened las April 5, 2020, 4 – 6 p.m. and will be showcasing 20 works spanning two decades of exhibitions representing one work for each year of the Wildling Museum’s history. The exhibition is on view from April 5 – September 7, 2020.

Our professional staff are trained to help students of all ages and skill levels learn to catch waves, better understand the ocean and move on to more advanced surfing techniques. 05 Old Spanish Fiesta

at Downtown Santa Barbara 

This festival has been a Santa Barbara summer staple since 1925, as the area’s rich heritage comes alive during the first week in August with music, dance, and pageantry. During most years, you can expect a variety of Mercados, lively performances, and colorful cascarones at this community-wide festival.

07 Fiesta Music & Dance Fridays

at 129 Castillo Street Santa Barbara

They will feature a group of local bands and will highlight restaurants and non-profits typically seen at the Mercados. Culminating with grand performances on these virtual concerts which will be streamed on multiple outlets.

08 Siempre Mas/Always More

at 229 E Victoria St Santa Barbara

The Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara is inviting everyone to come and see Siempre Más / Always More, an exhibition of textile works by Minga Opazo. Visitors are invited to view the exhibition on Saturdays, 1:00 to 4:00 pm.

09 Beach Cleanup

10 AM at Arroyo Burro Beach

Ecology monthly cleanups take place at Arroyo Burro Beach, one of Santa Barbara’s most gorgeous beaches.

10 Stand Up Paddle Boarding

at Santa Barbara Sailing Center

Stand-up paddle board (SUP) rentals is also being offered at the Santa Barbara Sailing Center. They built a special launch pad just for stand-up paddle boarders. You can launch directly from their dock to explore the Santa Barbara Harbor, Stearns Wharf, East Beach and beyond.

Over 40 artworks will be featured in a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, drawing, photography, and sculpture. The majority of the objects are on view at SBMA for the first time. These include painted works on paper by emerging artists acquired through the recently established Basil Alkazzi Acquisition Fund.

30 Buellton Wine and Chili Festival
